Default did I make the right move - 88 laydown

    SB ($3.80)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8, 8. MP posts a blind of $0.10.
Hero calls $0.10, MP (poster) checks, 2 folds, SB raises to $0.4, BB calls $0.05 (All-In), Hero calls $0.30, MP calls $0.30.

    Flop: ($1.35) 6, 6, J (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB bets $0.4, Hero calls $0.40, MP calls $0.40.

    Turn: ($2.55) 5 (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB bets $1.5, Hero folds, MP calls $1.50.

    River: ($5.55) 3 (3 players, 1 all-in)
    SB bets $1.5 (All-In), MP calls $1.50.

    Final Pot: $8.55

    Results in white below:
SB has Ah Kd (one pair, sixes).
BB has Qh 3c (two pair, sixes and threes).
MP has 9d 9c (two pair, nines and sixes).
    Outcome: MP wins $8.55.

I knew exactly what the aggressor held, two overs that missed...but I didn't know what to put the other guy on...did I make the right decision in laying this down?

Raise/fold the flop. Without looking at the results, that massively looks like a rep with overcards from SB, so I'd be tempted to raise it up huge.

Laying this down is an easy play, and probably the right one.
If you know the raiser has nothing here and you have another opp it might be worth throwing out a reraise to find out who really likes there hand here. You might force a fold at that point and i think if you fire out a second bet on the turn the anybody else is forced to fold too.
This is providing you have good reads, but i'd attack this and just be wary of a cold caller.

raise the flop so the other guy can't call down.

What sort of raise? 3x the SB's flop raise? or just minraise?
