Goddamnit you guys, you don't have to jump through all these ridiculous hoops. You know, when Quakenet rejects you for not sending a valid identd response, it tells you EXACTLY what you need to do to fix it in the error message.

ive gone through several tutorials that detail how to open port 113 and i still cant get mirc to recognize that ive done what theyve fuckin asked for. its not as easy as it appears for people on all routers. anyway, this webversion sucks so bad that id rather just reconnect 400billion times as i do right now with mIRC.

No, it IS easy! It's brutally easy and straightforward! What type of router do you have? I'll look up the manual and figure out exactly what you need to do.

    OK the manual is here:
    http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satel...VisitorWrapper

You want to go to the "forwarding" tab,
Enter "identd" in the Customized Applications field,
enter "113" on the port field,
    select "TCP",
enter the IP address of YOUR PC (not the router, usually 192.168.x.x),
    and click off "enable",
    then hit "apply".

You'd also need to set mIrc or your irc client of choice to send an identd response.

you gotta add the 113 to the fowarding ports of your router. make sure its enabled identd on irc and should be up
