Flopped flush hand
This is from a 1/2 game at Foxwoods.
UTG - huge stack, maybe a pro plr, aggr. and loose (>$3000)
MP - very big stack, also maybe pro (what are they doin at 1/2?) (>$1000)
BB - me ($120)
I've been at the table for about 3 hours and had seen few good hands. I've only seen like 10 flops and have gotten involved in about 5 hands with mixed results.
I pick up 4c 6c
I get UTG and MP limping in.
Flop is 2c 8c 10c
Flopped a flush. I check.
Check. Check. Qs
I bet $25. UTG raises to $50. MP calls.
I push all in for my remaining $70.
My plan was to give a free card hoping it won't be a club and to disguise my hand. I could then move all in so with one card to come they wouldn't likely have odds to call. What I wasn't planning on was this:
UTG calls my $70 and opens a side pot for $100 with MP. MP stares him down for 30 seconds and raises it to $300. UTG raises another $100 and shows him Qd Th. I was feeling OK with that. I felt MP had 2 pr as well.
MP called.
River was 8s.
UTG shakes his head and checks, MP turns over Qc 8h.
Obviously, my check on the flop was a risky play. It almost worked perfectly and I would have tripled up had the MP not made one of his 10 outs.
Thinking on the day, I played well but made one big mistake: sitting at a table with two huge stacks.
