Default Playerview now charging $50 for a copy!

Personally, I think that is waaaaaaaaay overpriced for what is essentially an addon to PokerTracker. PT only charges $55. I would probably pay $20-$25. But, I can't bring myself to give PV $50.

Looks like I'm gonna have to start using GT+ again.

Yep. Without question I will use GT+ before shellling out $50 for a product that does essentially the same thing.

GT+ takes a little more work to setup but it's more the principle of the thing. $50 for that product is way too high.

People will pay. $50 is nothing to someone who relies on the software to make close to that much per hour multitabling limit holdem.

PV has built a client base that may find it easier to shell out $50 than install/learn new software.

A smart marketing move IMO would have been to integrate this more fully with Pokertracker and offer it as an add-on option through the PT website. PV requires PT, and PT's gametime interface is not as convenient as PV. A good match, but maybe neither party is interested.

Umm I use PV and haven’t gotten charged once for it, of course I use the testing version but it works just fine...

You do however need to buy PT to run PV, if you mean that PT charges $55 that's accurate but I have not seen where PV is charging $50???

Once the version you are using times out in a week or whatever you will not be able to download a free version any longer. Unless you want a scaled down version.

Check the Playerview website for details.

It's good software and $50 is cheap for good software. These guys gotta eat too.

This is possibly the stupidest thing you've ever posted.

While I agree that it is good software, I do not agree that it is worth essentially the same amount of money as PokerTracker. I think this is especially true given that GT+ can give you almost the same functionality (albeit, with more setup beforehand and a few less features) for free.

I can't see how $50 can be considered a good price for this.

Fair enough, I would think $20-$25 would be a more reasonable price. Although you have to consider the the more specialized the software the higher the price is going to be for a comperable feature set.

This software isnt worth it. It doesnt CREATE anything new. In fact, you could possibly save the money and just put the PT stats into the player's notes, or get GT+ for free.

Like I said, all it does is reposition the information so its a lot easier to handle at a given time. It doesn't provide any new features or give us any more meaningful statisitics. For $50 or even $25 I'm sticking with GT+.

Is there software that filters your PT database for the level you're playing, displays it on the table so that you can easily access it when multitabling, and allows you total control of what information is displayed? These are the two most important aspects of PV to me.

Exporting notes doesn't offer the same functionality (specifically filtering), does it?

    I'm not familiar with GT+.

fire up GT+, it's similar but not as pretty and you can't colour all your numbers different colours or set up complicated layouts before hand.

From the Player View website posted last week.

"I have released Patch 1.01, which besides various tweaks mainly allows Trial users to run unrestricted forever on one table."

So I can try it and see what it's all about, just without multitabling (which I can't do easily on my laptop on 6max in any case)

    sounds fair enough to me

Man I just saw this, this is freaking retarded, and I hate gametime+ but looks as if I’m stuck to it unless I fell like paying these fuckers...
