Hey Rippy
So I switched and started playing some NL at the start of the month. I was playing my normal tight/aggressive style and waiting on big hands. I was winning money but slowly and not as much as I would have wanted. I went back and read some of your old posts and the recent one about playing 3-5s ect. I've been looking for opportunities like this. Let me say, it works! After playing w/ certain people for a while you get to know what their style is and what their preflop raising standards are. I've waited for position on these people and yesterday I played some hands like you were talking about. I only did this a couple times and when I did each pot I won was over $100. It's a nice strategy because if you don't hit something good or the board is scary you can get away from your hand for $2-$5. The big pots you win far outweigh the times you have to let your hand go on the flop. I think I'm finally seeing what NL holdem is about. Its not about the cards, its about playing the players and picking spots to take people stacks. I've never been this excited about playing poker since I started. I cleared $500 yesterday. Now to some that chump change but for me that is a great day. I hope to keep working on my game and change from just a winning player to a clearly dominate force. Thanks for showing me the light.
