    Default successful early aggression..

so you raise big preflop.. cards don't matter.. and you get 1 caller..

after betting at the pot once the flop comes, if you get called.. how do you know what to do? I am running into people that call on the turn and flop, and then re-raise big on river..

When I can't decide, I base my decision on how quickly they called the flop bet. If they called fast, they either have a strong draw or are trapping you. If they have to think abuot, I almost always fire the second barrel.

actually i know i sit there and purposely wait sometimes when i flop trips or some other strong hand... and i have noticed a lot of people using this same tactic...

specifics... early game, even chip stacks, like i said i was basically just trying to push people around like i saw rippy do. i didn't have 7-4o but it was close too it.

i may just stick with a large first bet if im bluffing.. and then check/fold it down if i get called. Although some idiots fucking call huge bets with nothing..

im just wondering if some aggressive players can give tips on how they bluff

maybe Im wrong, but I have the feeling you are trying to get too fancy. Slow down, play by 'the rules' then when you get comfortable, you can start having fun and become creative. Whatever you do I dont suggest pulling 'rippys' early in tournaments or sngs. Tight is right, unless you have cards. If you have cards, but 4 - 5x bb and then when the flop comes play agressively. If you get reraised, lay it down. You shouldnt be playing 'rippy' hands early, unless you really feel comfortable, and even then, early in an MTT all the fish are still there. Rembmer, you cant out play a 'tard.

It takes a great deal of skill and a whole lot of hands under your belt to know when the time is right to 'pull a Rippy'. Maybe you're at that level, I don't know - I know I'm not even close to it.

Buying pots certainly has its place, but very early in a tourney it usually doesn't work very well. People are willing to gamble early for a shot at a big stack, so bluffing normally doesn't come into play for me until the blinds get to around 100/200. Any earlier than that, and the small blinds just don't make it worth stealing at all, IMO.

Early in a tourney I think if you get called on the flop I think you're done, too early to get fancy. Exception might be a nice draw flop, say J103 with two spades - if a non spade rag falls I think it's worth one more bet on the turn. Or if something spooky happens and you can rep it, like another 10 comes.
