Call or raise here? (I don't see folding as a valid option unless you're just ridiculously tight.)

Opponent was in SB and could have anything. I would rule out the Q7 but maybe filled up with something like 87 or 97. When the board is paired and connecting, I always think that FH is more likely b/c someone with the OESD or suited connectors could have just got lucky. So just flat call the river.

If you were up against a maniac, I would re-raise. However, in this situation the opponent does not look crazy and played very passively until the river. You may very well have the best hand but you also may have riverd a lovely second best so it is not worth your stack to find out.

Final thought: a reraise also opens the door for him to steal the pot. What if you both have the same hand and he comes over the top AI? You would almost have to fold to the AI and then he steals 1/2 your pot.

I put him on A8 or A9. I would reaise. I think he thinks that since every limped in and check the flop and turn his 2 pair with the kicker is golden. IMO opinon the worst that would hapen is he is on 10 J and your split the pot.

I think he has a 7 and was slowplaying. Sees you as trying to buy the pot and raises with his hand. I would re-raise to about $8-$10.

Actual hand: I called, he showed down T6o for the rivered lower straight, and I won.

Personal opinion: I like just calling here - his raise isn't that much and I feel comfortable playing the hand I've got for those pot odds. I'm not sure if raising him here is a money-making move in the long run or not. If I have the better hand (meaning he has basically nothing, probably just a pair to the board) he'll fold to my re-raise anyway. If he made a boat the raise just costs me - although from the way he played the hand, I didn't suspect a boat. The scenario where he has an actual good hand that is worse than mine (i.e. T6o) is unlikely enough that I think just calling is fine here.
