    Had AA raised more preflop he wouldnt have gotten himself into the nasty situation he did.

    Sometimes we all get lucky though.

    not your fault, you don't put him on AA there. you flopped a set, and with that board there is no reason to lay it down.

    I agree with the others. Preflop was probably his biggest mistake, but also it couldn't have hurt him to raise you on the flop instead of smooth calling. Smooth calling is somewhat understandable, but personally I would have min raised holding the nuts at that point.

    But you played it better than he did, even though he was the favorite. It wasn't all that fishy. I should post some of my hand histories to show you what a real fishy move is.

    You guys rule. I was more than shocked to see that I was up against the Aces. I had him on AK, maybe a baby ace. particularly when he check/called the turn.

    I agree. His betting was really weak, especially considering there are two spades on the board at the flop! Smotth calling in that situation is self-murder.

    Both of you basically played it by the book, with maybe a bit too much slowplay on that flop added in. There was no fishy play here.
