Default A little confused about implied odds

I'm reading Sklanky's "No limit Hold'em Theory and Practice" and am not sure if I'm missing something or if this is conflicting info with other sources I've read.

In the section of implied odds, Sklanky says if you're getting implied pot odds of 7.33-to-1 on a call and have 8-to-1 odds on flopping trips when your opponent has AA and you have JJ then it is profitable to call.

    However, on pokerology.com/lessons/pot-odds
it says you should only call when the pot odds are better than you're drawing odds.

    Thoughts?

I think you are mis-interpreting Sklansky. I'm sure if you quote the chapter/page that you are referring to, somebody on here with the book will be able to check it out for you.

You're probably right. The information I'm referring to is on page 33 and 34.

    Nevermind, I figured it out.
