Can we bet money too? Only small, say 20 bucks or so for the season?

Going to make this the discussion thread too.

I'd be in for a $20 side bet, we won't need an escrow. Obviously it's just between whoever wants in and nothing to do with FTR
  5. #5
If this runs until Dec, then maybe $10 for Aug-Dec, and $10 for Jan-May? I'm down with that. $20 becomes $40 over the season, more than I want to lose on a crapshoot tbh.

    Sat 25th Aug
    12:45pm - Swansea v West Ham: 2-0
    3pm - Aston Villa v Everton: 1-1
    Man Utd v Fulham: 4-0
    Norwich v QPR: 2-1
    Southhampton v Wigan: 1-0
    Sunderland v Reading: 1-1
    Tottenham v West Brom: 2-1
    5.30pm - Chelsea v Newcastle 2-0

    Sun 26th Aug
    1.30pm - Stoke v Arsenal: 1-3
    4pm - Liverpool v Man City: 1-2

Pascal, may I suggest we PM you our submission instead of posting? I will simply wait until 30 minutes before match time and use my information + previous submissions from the Brits to make my choices. Doesn't seem fair.

I'll leave it open to option - if you want to PM me instead of posting here, you can, and I'll just post all the PMs I receive when I do the results on Tuesdays.

It might matter in the last few weeks, but right now it doesn't. I can't see what advantage bigred can gain by posting last this round, but I can imagine some instances around Christmas where waiting could be advantageous. Worry about that in dec. I'm happy to post my predictions for the time being, if I pm pascal them then he's the only one who can potentially use them to an advantage, which seems even less fair than everyone having that chance. I don't care all that much. If I'm second place come december then maybe there will be a reason to protect my hand. It's august, I don't want to think about fucking december.

I guess, besides which, you can just wait until 5 mins before kickoff

I'll be posting my predictions in here as soon as I post the list of fixtures so don't worry about me getting any advantage!

rong, posts must be in 10 minutes before kick off, as per the first post. I'd even prefer to have it earlier to stop people getting info on injury doubts etc but I think there would be too many people annoyed at forgetting

Out of my role as forum manager, I'm in for a $10 side bet. Quote to book, no escrow needed.

Fair enough! It might be necessary later on for you to protect your predictions from someone above you so they can't just copy your scores to keep you below them, but it's as simple as appointing whoever is bottom of the leaderboard or someone not involved as temp game mod for the last round or two or whatever.

    In for $10 side bet.

Well, besides gaining "information" the other use case is that we come into the final week and it's between Ong and me. I have him beat by 2 points. I wait til he posts his predictions and paste the exact same thing, and automatically win. Not a huge worry right now. Was just thinking aloud. I'll probably just post ITT.

Put me down for the $10 as well.

PM'd Pascal with predictions and up for $10 side bet.

Ever since Leicester got relegated I haven't had anyone in the premier league to support, since I went to Southampton Uni they're obviously going to win it all this year.

Can he score when he's injured?

Admit it though, you'd laugh if Liverpool were struggling for goals while AC kept nodding in long balls. He'll certainly be WH's top scorer, I'm in no doubt that was an awesome piece of business by Fat Sam. I'd be delighted if I were a Hammers fan. I wouldn't care what style of football was being played if my newly promoted team were well clear of a relegation battle.

Villa, Norwich and QPR for the drop. Oh yes.
