Default Titan Poker is the worse EVER! AVOID!

Seriously, I have never played at a site that did this. I signed up for Titan Poker just to try it out and see how I liked the design. I literally played for 20 seconds. It sucked.

I have received about 4 calls in the last 2 weeks from Titan Poker advertising some bullshit tourns or something. Talk about annoying. The number shows up as "9999" for anyone who may have missed the call.

Titan Poker sucks and that is the bottom line. Avoid.

Aside from the phone calls, what sucks about it? Just saying "it sucks" and not telling us what sucks doesn't help.

Well aside from the harassment and the limited table choice: Party Poker rip off, weak action, and the logo looks like it was made for SUPERHERO'S. Unfortunately, the game play seems like it was made for hobo's. I hate Titan Poker.

Wow. Seven seconds, huh? I haven't played at Titan poker, but now I'm curious -- nothing could be THAT bad. Even places I played and left weren't THAT bad.
    I'm a know-it-all.

    No, really.

I take it the signup bonus wasn't really worth it then huh?

Worth a thousand advertisements, some bullshit phone calls, poor poker rooms and a superman design? I didn't pay anything but I'd have to say NO.

    Default titan poker is awful

Titan poker sucks for many reasons. First of all, the software is the worst I have ever seen. 2nd it's probably the only poker site I have ever believed to be rigged. I am very successful on pokerstars and titan just wiped out the $300 I put in in like 5 hours at 2/4 and 3/6. I'm a tight player so that's very unusual. In 2 years of online poker I've never lost that much in that little time or even close to it. They harrass the heck out of you to with email after email. The bonus sucks. You have to play for an eternity and they say that their "star" system for distributing bonuses works one way but in actuality it seems you always receive less stars than you should. Titan is a rip off and should be avoided. That's my take on them.

I liked titan poker when I bonus whored them. Awful omaha hi/low players. I unsubscribed to their email advertisements when I was done. Got two bonuses - their bonus as well as a bonus from an affiliate that was half the requirement of titan's bonus.

Software was always good and cashing out wasn't a problem. I enjoyed the online tech support and they were always there giving me star updates.

Wouldn't make it my regular home (thats reserved for pokerstars) but it was nice and profitable when I was there. Guaranteed tourneys always had overlays and were soft
Dealer: bencathers has two pair, Aces and Deuces
Dealer: Tbags has two pair, Kings and Jacks
Dealer: Tbags finished the tournament in 256th place
Tbags [observer]: another scumbag gets there on this site lol

Titan and Noble are pretty much the same and share tables. The bonus is NOT worth it. I didn't have problems with the software and it's not rigged (how many people are going to blame a site for their losses?). The games and tournaments are very soft.

But if you like Noble Poker, then Titan is for you. When Empire bought Noble, many former employees started Titan and then they shared tables. Just a brief history lesson. I haven't played at either in over 6 months.

    Default Re: [url=http://www.flopturnriver.com/Referrals/Titan-Poker.

I'm playing Titan at the moment, $500 bonus, worked off the first $100 in less than a week (tho they just changed the system) and some really terrible players.

    I love it

Your probably had loads of suckouts due to the fish factor. Keep at it or try some NL, its worth it.

    I agree!

I signed up with them a few months ago, and I have to say I am not impressed with their platform. Here are some reasons,
    1. They irritate me with popups and advertising via online chat to deposit money and participate in promotions.
    2. Ever since I told them their site sucks and asked to cash out most of my money via email my cards have been magically 2nd best in many situations when I connect with flop, I have not experienced this type of suck out with pokerstars or party poker after playing for the last 2 years.
    3. I asked them why I cannot find many micro NL tables that are not full, they told me there are hundreds but when I looked I was kept on a waiting list for 15min just to play a lousy .10/.20 game, (pokerstars and party does not make me wait!!!)
    4. The bonus star system does not serve the poker player at all it is only there to generate their own revenue and site promotion.
    5. I feel the same way with titan as I do with fulltilt. Period.
    6. When I asked titan about their software and generator to randomize the cards, they declined to comment...

Hey jim, some of the stuff you says just doesn't make any sense. Running bad because you cashed out is because you are running bad and looking for patterns. I find it hard to believe you can't find an empty table on iPoker at 20NL - are you sure you've set your filters up properly? What's your problem with the bonus system?

As for the RNG, Titan Poker is a skin for iPoker. From iPoker's site: About iPoker
A sophisticated Random Number Generator (RNG) ensures a random outcome for all our automated online games, checked by GLI, an internationally recognized and respected Accredited Testing Facility.
"State of the art collusion prevention and detection tools ensure a secure and fair gaming experience, while a vast portfolio of tournaments and games enable players of all skill levels to find the table or tournament they are looking for."

    Here's a PDF too: http://www.ipoker.com/html/static/uploads/pdf/GLI.pdf

If you have questions for Titan Poker I can ask the rep to post in this thread.

Haven't played there lately but when i did i didn't notice any superfluous advertising. Personally , if they start a deposit bonus promotion ,I'd prefer to know about it and decide whether to take it up or not. Similarly , with the other promotions thatthey run. These result in extra money in your account that you usually have to opt in to benefit from. If you didn't know about it you'd be moaning that they were giving money to players but you didn't get any because you didn't know about it.

why not use the withdraw option in the client cashier. So when you run good its because of superior skill and when you run bad the site is rigged?

You may be surprised to learn that Titan as well as all the other sites out there have these special tables with no one sitting at them. There is no waitlist to sit at one of them , But if you should sit at one of those tables one or more of the other players sitting on waitlists may think ....."oooo there's a table that i can play at and sit down and play".

    4. The bonus star system does not serve the poker player at all it is only there to generate their own revenue and site promotion.
You should do your own calculations on how much a sites promotions, rake, bonuses are worth to play there .

    5. I feel the same way with titan as I do with fulltilt. Period.
Not sure how you can be lumping Full tilt in with a lack of returns to the player. Since they reopened I've been playing with 40% bonus clearance,20% edge rewards, points are worth ~5% and had some ring game tickets. Overall 65% rakeback on 6.66% rake works out at 2.33%rake for me to play at tilt at the moment.Once the bonus clearance stops and the rewards drop to 20+5% ,for me it will work out at 5% rake to play at full tilt which is more than stars basic rake charge before the VIP system
    reduces it further.

party is 5% rake but for beginners/micro players the VIP rewards are pretty abysmal. For higher stakes players saving their points will significiantly increase the value of their VIP system.SInce ipoker split their player pools , i haven't played there or looked for any rakeback deals there. 50%+ rakeback used to be fairly easy to find although they'd usually be on smaller rooms with a greater risk to your money.

Once you move up out of the micro stakes and into small and mid stakes pots will be capped, further reducimng your cost to play and the most profitable room for you to play at will then have to take into account what levels those capped pots are set at .

in other words , do some research and work out what rake you are paying , what you are likely to get back , standard of play , availability of tables to play at. Sometimes , terrible software means that good players don't play at a site meaning a higher proportion of fish are playing at your tables making it more profitable to play there.

[admins sorry for the double post, I should have posted here to start with because this thread has more visibility than the official Titan thread. Feel free to delete my post in the other Titan thread]

Beware of the crooks at Titan Poker emptying your account with their "inactive account charge" or whatever. If you don't play for a few months, they will start charging this without a word of warning and without sending any bills, unlike for example Party Poker, who does also charge these, but they send you email before and after it happens. They were even graceful enough to pay me back after I missed their emails.

No such thing on Titan Poker. Once the money is gone, you can kiss it goodbye. They will hide behind the small print of their terms and conditions (anyone who read these until the end, throw me the first stone).

Thank you Titan Poker for ripping me off. Much appreciated. Nice business model.

Also a reminder of the great currency conversion swindle on the entire iPoker network, including my dear friends at Titan:

I agree with that thread started by keith that extended to a huge thread on 2P2. Anyone playing iPoker is an idiot. There are better choices than a site/network that frequently changes their rules for money grabs and openly allows bots.

    Hi Daviddem,
It sounds like you're quite upset which I'm sorry to hear - if you send me a PM with your username I can definitely look into this and see if we can work something out.

    Hi jym,
The thing is that each network or brand has it's own appeal and it may not be for everyone but I think if you give it an actual chance you may find out that there's a chance to enjoy yourself and participate in some nice promotions and tournaments.

    Hi Jym,
I honestly don't know what it is that your'e so upset about - Titan's one of the better brands on the ipoker network and is constantly working to improve itself, yes there are occasional changes in the policy but there are also constantly new promotions and offers to players.

All players have the right and freedom to chose where to play - if you guys have some constructive feedback I'm happy to hear it and help make Titan a more enjoyable place to play, that's always been the way to keep improving the brand which is to listen to the players but we also ask that it's within reason as we respect the players and want to make sure the experience is as enjoyable as possible

Hey, well I believe I mentioned this in another thread but if you'd send me your username I'd be happy to check this out for you and see if we can get your account set back up. I'm happy to hear constructive feedback so long as it's reasonable - so if you do have an account and would like to get back please send me your username and I will check into this for you.

Thanks Keith for making this point - everyone's entitled to their opinion on how they feel about a brand but I think in this case, it speaks volumes that Titan's been around for more than 7 years and has never closed it's doors

There have been some difficult times over the years but Titan's maintained a responsible reputation and a big part of the ipoker network which remains one of the biggest non-US networks in the world - I think that fact alone speaks for itself

Another point for those who aren't fans of emails and what not is that you can chose to opt out of receiving promotional emails if you like - you can email [email protected] to do this or otherwise let the online support team know and that way you wont receive anymore emails

Once again guys any feedback you guys have that's constructive is positive and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have as well
