    Default AA and AQs $5nl

    Hey guys,

Just thought I'd post a few hands from today that i wasn't 100% sure about. Currently struggling at $5nl on stars.

In this first hand I had AA on the button, Villain's stats are 37(vpip)/35(pfr)/5.0(af) I think my 4bet sizing is correct preflop. The fact that he just called rather than 5bet makes me think he has either AK or something lower than QQ. Not sure of correct action here. Also not sure about my bet sizing on flop, my thinking behind the pot sized bet was to give him bad odds to call with hands like A k . Any opinions would be great.

    PokerStars - $0.05 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players

    MP: $14.12
    Villain: $6.24
    Hero (BTN): $13.10
    SB: $2.42
    BB: $5.00
    UTG: $5.77

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

    Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has A A

fold, MP raises to $0.15, Villain raises to $0.45, Hero raises to $1.50, fold, fold, fold, Villain calls $1.05

    Flop: ($3.22, 2 players) 9 7 J
    Villain checks, Hero bets $2.95,
Villain raises to $4.74 and is all-in,

    Hero ?????

    Result below

    Spoiler:

    Hero calls $1.79
    Turn: ($12.70, 2 players) 8

    River: ($12.70, 2 players) 8

Villain shows T T (Straight, Jack High) (Pre 19%, Flop 29%, Turn 98%)
Hero mucks A A (Two Pair, Aces and Eights) (Pre 81%, Flop 71%, Turn 2%)
    Villain wins $12.17

In the second hand the Villain (23/18/2.0) 3bet me from the button whilst i held AQs in MP. Maybe I just shouldn't call 3bets with hands like this for now, since my post flop play obviously needs a lot of work. Anyway, when it came to the river i had a hard time deciding on what to do considering the strength of my hand vs his. I basically put him on AA, KK or possibly JJ or TT. Either way, this probably should have been an easy fold but the decision was hard for me considering i had a full house. Feel free to comment on bet sizings or anything else that you feel needs work.

H1 w/ AA is a call and take note about villain hand, even if he has a set , it's his mistake not yours. hand is played fine.

H2 w/ AQs, if you know he 3bet BTN more then QQ+,AK, the call is ok, if not , you should fold preflop. flop c/c is ok, so is turn i think, but river i am folding cause you are both very deep and i think he'd rather call TT, JJ then to raise AI. so i think in this spot w/ his line he has KK+.
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...
