    Still on that feckin' island!

Question 2nd Nut Flush OTF v. SB Aggression

SB is VP 50/PFR 0/Agg 0 but only 8 hands, so no reads.

What range would you give this guy given actions only?

AdXd is definitiely there, as are 99 and 77. He's not spazzing out w/ Top Pair, surely?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (5 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($2.80)
    MP ($5.36)
    Hero (Button) ($5)
    SB ($4.21)
    BB ($12.50)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, 5
2 folds, Hero bets $0.15, SB calls $0.13, BB calls $0.10

    Flop: ($0.45) 7, K, 9 (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.25, SB raises to $0.50, 1 fold, Hero ???

Why not? Tonnes of TP here. AdXanything also. Also possible baby flushes.

Maybe flat and see how much he bets on the turn, before re-raising him an apt amount.

The way I see it, I'm simply looking for ways to get as much in as possible as fast as possible.

I wanna play this fast, we're unlikely to fold vs this villain but he might on Certain run outs, I think slow playing allows him to play better than us. I 3 bet here to 160, hope he shoves otherwise jam turn.

A 50/0 (even over only 8 hands) probably has a ton of worse hands that will call you, including many worse flushes or Adxx type draws. I would raise to $1.90 which sets us up for a nice 3/4pot shove on the turn.

Bet flop bigger, you need to build a big pot.

His range has loads of stuff that you beat, 50/0 after 8 hands makes it likely he's bad. Worse flushes, 99/77, Kxd, bare Ad etc etc.

3bet the flop to $1.50 and shove the turn.

you see a lot more two pair and worse flushes than you see nut flushes here.
bet flop 35c or 40c. Response to the min-raise is interesting, call and stack turn vs 3b now. 3b now seems better.

I'm not so sure why 3 betting now seems better when we have position on the turn.

He's likely going to make a ton of calling mistakes here, so we can get a lot of value by 3betting. When we're so far ahead of his calling range, we should try to get the money in as fast as possible.

If we 3bet, we can get the stacks to go in by the turn (at the latest). If you flat and the villain check/calls the turn, then you get stuck with betting on all 3 streets. And that causes you to lose value on all the Adxx draw hands that would have stacked off earlier, because they will probably ch/fold on a bricked river.

What is the argument for calling the flop? What hands will you keep in that you can get value from on future streets that 3betting would fold out?

Canada; the country all tucked away down there...
Lots of flush draws, smaller made flushes, 2pair, sets and TP hands will raise this. He is only folding TP hands (maybe) so raise and try to get the money in....

I know it's been said, but good god bet the flop bigger.
