Default KK overpair HU starting table with lag-pro-fish 25nl

villain is 21-17 at full tables and wins at a pretty good clip at all stakes 25nl-200nl. I sat with him cos i was too buzzed to play for real money and i'm a bum-hunter. Full tables he sees me as say 18-13 but a bit passive post-flop and he knows that i have a fold button and like having the nuts

Why not shove over the turn? Also not a big fan of checking the river, which almost turns KK into a bluff catcher and lets him check behind his Q's and T's that would call your river bet.
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

Why the fuck are you checking the flop?

What are you trying to achieve by checking the flop? I don't think it's terrible but would like to know your thought process.

If you are going to be deceptive here then you need to call river imo, your range looks weak after flop + turn and he probably doesn't think KK/AA can ever be in your range here, tbh I'd expect to see AQ/TT most of the time because he was trying to look polarized on the river so you'd make a hero call.

That might not make any sense.

ftr has spoken. I mean, it worked out fine in the end but i have to agree that betting flop is probably better.
Fwiw - my thought process was 'time to induce spew. check-call flop, donk turn fake block trying to be a playmaster - well spotted m2m' Thing is that i could have accomplished that with $2.80 on the flop as well. He had K9o but meh, i posted the hand cos i wasn't comfortable with my line in review. Well, turn and river played themselves, but flop?!

When you take a line to induce spew, you can't really fold to the spew.
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Bet flop, shove turn against this guy. As played, lead river since you called the turn and the monies is going in anyway.
