    just thought I would drop this here. It's an interesting read, and has some value with regard to taking breaks during sessions, and occurrences of tilt.

    That article is really interesting. The conclusions could assist in all walks if life.

    very interesting article.

    Willpower turned out to be more than a folk concept or a metaphor. It really was a form of mental energy that could be exhausted.
    This is obviously very applicable to everyday life, but it's especially applicable in poker where you're constantly making decisions, and the quality of your play is an aggregation of the quality of all those many small decisions you've made.

    It also explains why you feel drained after a long session, and highlights the importance of taking breaks every few hours. There's probably no magic number as everyone's got their own threshold, but I found that breaks every 2-3 hours (depending on how well rested etc I was) was about right for me.
