folding AA on the flop, legit fold?

Villain is 13% VPIP and 10%PFR with 1%3bet and 17%checkraise over 288 hands and my history with him is one single hand one i flopped nut-straight vs his set and got it all on the turn (i had good odds calling with JT in BU three way pot).

when he calls oop in sb i though i could narrow down his range pretty hard, between small pocket pairs 22-77 and KK, i don't think he could call with any other like AK without raising my bet.now i was pretty sure he had a good hand so I decided 4betting him and folding to a shove, but he's 5bet was looking to strong as a desperate try to get it in slow that made me fold the hand. I believe he check-folds any AJ AQ hands on flop (but still i don't believe he plays that in SB) and check-raise 44 55 and KK, or maybe AA. I think he would lead out with AK, but still i think he would have re-raised me PF.

i'm wondering if this is a legit fold in this situation or if you think i have folded the best hand

So much in this hand that i don't like. PF he is easily calling here with AK, KQs. On the flop I hate your 3bet sizing. If you discount him having AK PF bc he didnt 3bet (which i disagree with) then you can discount him having KK, so to find a fold here you are putting him exclusively on 44 or 55.

Just for clarity, you mean 22-KK right? You are not excluding 88-QQ i hope.

Don't consider hands on the flop that are not in your PF range.

he's a little tricky, i believe it's more likely for him to trap with KK in sb than AK. and more likely check-raising with a set than TPTK.

yeah i wanted to say 22+, i didn't exclude 88-QQ - but i specifically put him on 22 to 99 before the flop because as far as i've seen him i thought he would be the player who would 3bet me with better from sb.

ur opponent's range gets tighter as more streets are played, if he didn't have it pre, he won't have it otr

1% 3bet is not 3betting TT or prolly even JJ.

Against KK,55-44,AKs,KQs,AKo,KQo we have 59% equity. With a 17% c/r he's prolly got some bluffs in there.
