Default bad fold on riv TPGK?

villain was a lil crazy , something like 30/7 but incredibly aggro postflop, never seen him C/R rivers before though , to me it looked like one of those way ahead/behind situations so i decided to fold purely cuz i didn't feel my read on him was strong enuf to make a light call here.

On the river I think your beat but you played the hand wrong you need to bet the flop at least 2/3 the pot. The hand plays out differently if you do this. I think he hit two pair by the river though

why just 3bb open? why did you ck flop? any range for him?

by the line and stats i would put him on KJ,KQ,KT,44,Ax,88... so in this case i think its a call.

i don't mind chechking the flop , i don't hate delayed c bets on a dry flop. at this point his range is superwide might as well get some value from his ridicilous mid pair hands and medium PP , and other garbage i can't think off now

two high card flops are not really dry, there'll be alot of straight draws, second pairs, pr+bdsd etc. rivers are alway WA/AB ofc except when you chop. prefer betting flop. fold looks good.

Pot the flop. He probably connected somehow or has a lot of re-draws. If you take it down then, great. As played, fold river.

Bet around 4-5bb preflop. Bet hard on the flop because:
    1. He's 30/7. He has SO many hands we beat in his range including most Ax/Jx/gutshots/32
    2. He's aggro. If he's raising this on the flop then HE'S building the pot for us while we crush his range. Remember, if he really is aggro then he's not raising only with value hands.

    Fold as played.

PLEASE POST RANGES! I will give you a pass right now but if you don't post ranges yourself then you'll never get better.

I wouldn't make a habit of delay cbetting with hands, and against villains, that you should be getting 3 streets of value with.
