Spewy Turn call?

    Default Spewy Turn call?

CO in this hand is a standard TAG, the BB is your 40/20 fish.

Pre flop is standard to me based on the price I'm getting laid as well as my position. Flop call is standard I think also. Its a bit interesting though, that the CO has called the flop in front of me. I can basically narrow his range down to middling pairs like 77,99,TT and some draws like QTs T9 combos and some broadway flush draws. The fish can still have a wide range, including some strong made hands and some random no pair hands.

On the turn I'm not too sure what to do. BB's range is now more narrow and skews toward stronger made hands and the fact that CO calls again on this turn strengthens his range in my mind. I'm getting almost 5:1 here but I feel like calling is a bit spewy based on their ranges and folding is a bit nitty based on the price I'm getting. What do you guys think?

I like folding the turn, even though you will be folding the best hand occasionally. The fish has 3-bet and barreled multi-way, he has a hand. The tag has called twice now, even though the flush card just came in. It seems very unlikely you beat both of them. The pot odds don't really matter because you're not drawing to anything.

I do like raising the flop and seeing what happens though.

This thread deserves more love. These multi-way spots are tricky and fairly common.

if you put them on a range street by street this isn't that tricky at all..

I would have re-raised the flop to see where I was, maybe to try and win it right there. I would say the BB had either a pocket pair or got lucky with an 8, who is continuing to build a pot, c-betting all the way, and the CO looks like suited connectors looking to make the flush.

After making the call, and with another player calling the BB bets, I would start to worry about the strength of my hand after the turn here.

So what do you make of the hand then?

Agreed. I'd put the CO on a pretty narrow range here; maybe he has 9-10, but its far more likely he has the flush and slowplaying. BB also likely has something - I would say AJ, JJ+, AQs AKs, and maybe A8... without being at the table or knowing the player, a bluff seems unlikely here since his bet size is not really enough to push out a draw

on the turn we're rarely behind the tagg reg, with most of his range being Jx and FD's(pretty sure he's folding T9 after fish bets turn with us still in the pot, i guess its in there though), and i'll go on the assumption that most "standard TAG"s are raising the fish on this turn because it's a pretty small bet and they don't want to let higher FD's draw correctly. Given sizing fish can have a AJ/KJ, a lot of Asx, random pairs that are mashing buttons(fairly discounted), overpairs (discounted by sizing on flop and turn), and flooshes (discounted by sizings). This might be pretty biased because it seems like i see Asx so often here, maybe AK/AQ w/ Ks/Qs, but im like lolnot folding

fold turn, we're basically always way ahead of CO and always way behind the guy who 3b pre

remember why you called preflop. don't get attatched to tp here.
