TV poker hand: purpose of dwans cbet?
I'm watching an old aussie millions high stakes tourny something something episode on youtube.
YouTube - 2/4 E01 Aussie Millions 2010 episode 1 (hand at 5:25)
The TV hud is pretty crappo, but its like 6 handed or something and blinds are 500/500. It's pot limit preflop and no limit afterflop.
Hand goes like this:
Billy opens Q Q from EP 1500
Ivey calls with A 8 from MP 1500
Dwan raises 9 3 from BTN to 6500
Billy Calls, Ivey Calls.
Pot is 10500
Flop is 5 5 3 .
Dwan Bets 9500...
Billy Raises to whatever...
Dwan Folds.
So Dwan cbets his bottom pair. I'm wondering if you guys think this is for value (such a crap flop that two overs might still call) or as a bluff (im not sure what he'd be repping here other than overpairs). I'm leaning toward value since dwan knows his image is aggro (so people will call down lighter) + he has a hand. But a potsize bet ? I DUNNO
It could be entirely read dependent but its episode one and early days into the tournament from what i can tell. So dwans bet is likely value/bluff/semibluff?
