Default Sick spot oop with straight against LAG

The game is 5/5 and is a homer game with no rake. I am the only thing close to a serious player on the table. All players at the table can lose 10k without blinking an eye and are all recreational players in their 30-40's.

I have been playing at this table for over four years on a weekly basis and have a lot of good reads on the players. inherently the game is stationy and high variance. lot of light call downs, thin bluffs, thin value bets etc. The players have no plan for what they are doing and play based on feel and in a lot of situations, the absolute value of their hand.

The villain in this spot is someone i have a lot of reads on. Have played with him for a long time and have beaten him out of a lot of money consistently over the years. He used to be very loose passive and has recently understood fundamentals of post flop play, all through live exp. He raises a tight range pre-flop but makes it big. He has a lot of live tells of which i am very aware of. He respects me as a player and does not expect me to be bluffing him with air at any time. He knows I am willing to shovel chips in with high value hands and big equity draws.

The game is 5/5 with 500 buy-in but the standard raise pre-flop is around $50. The game is very high in value, and a I feel like I have massive edge in it.

My stack size was about $2000 at the beginning of the hand. Villain had $1550 to start the hand. I have been chipping up throughout the game and have a good solid image.

I am the straddler and 2/3rds of the table limp to me. I check my option with 78o.

    FLOP: 5h 9d 6d POT: $70

Everyone checks to Villain who bets $75 into the pot from the CO. BTN (fish) calls, SB (Fish) calls, I raise to $375. Everyone folds to Villain who flats with $1100 behind, other 2 fold.

Read: Villain bets pot size with value hands and bluffs when checked to in spots like this. He did look strong to me on the flop, but his betting range on the flop when checked to is wide, and his raise calling range is all pair and gut shots, all pair and FD's, all FD's and A9.

    TURN: 5h 9d 6d Jd POT:$990

I check in this spot because the SPR is messed up and i cant really bet/fold this spot because I think he does have a decent amount of air and thin semi bluffs in his range in this spot. Not too sure what to do here, but since i didn't want to bet/fold I was torn .I had checked with the intention of reading his bet sizing on the turn and going forward from there. He checks behind.

Read: I think he knows that i have a big hand when i cr this flop in a limped pot but I also think that he might put me on a pair and flush draw a small percentage of the time. I think he will bet all flushes here for value esp given stack sizes.

    RIVER: 5h 9d 6d Jd 9c

This is probably the worst card in the deck because now all of his drawing ranges got there by the river. I check, he bets pot leaving a couple of hundred behind.

Whats my move? I know it is probably player specific but will A9 be betting here. Does my hand look very weak by checking two streets here. Could bottom two on teh flop turn their hand into a bluff here.

    Thanks.l

I would just b/f the same amount on the turn vs villain you described.I don't really think that he is capable of bluff shoving here with a wide range. As played,I just shrug off and fold. His range is polarized leaning towards nut hands IMO.I normally leave the table when another deep stack guy sits to my left.

thanks for the insight pokerfan. In the moment i felt b/f turn would be the correct play as well. the reasons i didn't were that the villain has super good instincts, knows me very well, is capable of flatting the turn if i bet 400 and in very rare cases might bluff shove because he is a sicko and doesn't put too many flushes in my range( even though he doesn't understand ranges or anything). To be able to thing objectively and rationally and to look past all the what if's and make the best decision possible is key in having and maintaining a good win rate. I also agree with you that if the turn did go checked through then c/f'ing river is probably best.
