Default LOL HUNDRED DOLLAH BILLS Y'ALL

This post is using my first 8798 hands at 200nl this year, and is a good example of why patience and a deep bankroll are good things to have.

For people who don't know how to read the PokerEV graph, this shows my net run on all-in situations. Against the average amount I should profit from all of the spots I've been all-in with cards left to come, I'm running a little over $1500 bad, in other words.

From the Flopasetometer screenshot, In 27 sets I'm up less than a buy-in.

In two spots where I've had set-over-set on the flop with the higher set (also both got all-in on the flop), I'm down two buyins.

So for all you little bastards who think you can play higher than your bankroll says you should, know that it takes more than winning to beat the game. It takes time, patience, and a bankroll that can stand the swings without driving you apeshit.

Also know that if you're trying to take this game seriously and make money in the process, you should probably keep more than 20 buy-ins once you start getting up to 50nl and higher.

But hey, after all of this, I'm still only down like $300 ahahahahahaha.

sounds like you need to do a better job at polishing your luckbox. I polish mine every day.

I'm sure this is my own inexperience, but I don't understand why you see so few flops vs hands dealt with AA and even KK.

Because people fold preflop in my games, and I'm not talking about folding preflop with AA or KK either.

HOW TO SUCK AT POKER by SpoonItNow

you said you were willing to write it.

i like how you are hitting sets above 10%, but not cashing in with them. i've SO been there.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

I think this is bump-worthy considering the BR management bitching that has been going on lately.

Well lets get it out of our system. No BR bitching next month. It's "Move up where they'll respect my raises" month in AUG.
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which unskilled individuals suffer from illusory superiority, mistakenly rating their ability much higher than average. This bias is attributed to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their mistakes

Spoon is right, having a deep bankroll is the most important thing in poker. I feel like I am underolled for 50NL with a $3,500 BR. I still split time between 25NL and 50NL until it gets a bit deeper. 10 buy-in downswings feel like mosquito bites

If you had a 35,000$ bankroll it wouldn't make a difference unless you were actually a winner @ 50nl.

the second Set<underset hand is roflz 'cause the rivered 3 was an AWESOME card for you lol.

also thought i'd mention that you should have a really healthy roll/not have tilt issues if you wanna BI for 250bb's at the new deep games on stars. stacks still get in really light, and there's far less wiggle room for tilting. games are lol-reg-fishy though, so i'd recommend sitting there and buying in for 100bb's even if the above criteria don't apply to you
