I'm new to playing online , but not to poker, and was wondering if Pokerstars

a) let's you trade play money for real money

b) let's you cash out without makin a deposit

If you want to cash out without depositing you have to cash at least $50, and give them them your home address or a PO box where they can send the cheque. This is what I did and then deposited on full tilt with the money i cashed =P.

Yes, because you have to be 18 to play on Stars. And if you try to withdraw after your 18 and give them proof and they see that you weren't 18 when you opened the account they won't give you your money either.

When I played on stars without depositing they only asked for address and name, and may have asked for birthdate but didn't ask for proof/confirmation. As in I didn't have to scan a drivers license or anything... they just sent a cheque to the address i provided them.

They may have changed this as of late though. I withdrew last summer.
