Default set of 8s on a drawy board.

    no reads on villain sry.

ok first off i think i shoulda raised the flop..at which point he could be cbetting aq+ or any pp so i think theres a fair bit value to be had raising his cbet.

on turn his calling range is like qq+ 33-55 and prob Ax

i just really dont know what to do with this river...

I call here.. if he called your turn raise with Ax or 6x then so be it, nh sir. I think you are beating enough hands here to call getting 3-1.

But yeah, definitely raise the flop.. there are likely a lot of overpairs in his range that will continue. Then its cake after that no matter what comes.

I think your raise on the turn is too small. Your are giving him great odds to draw on you.......

luck ..your right. ~4.50-5 woulda been better sizing. particularly because the turn brought SD and FD possibilities.

i feel like this is a leak of many micro players, if the pot is 4 bucks and op bets 1.5 they raise to 4 thinking its like betting pot when really theyre raising 2.5 into 5.5...

youre raising 2 into 5 there, very bad. I dont mind flop flat with no reads though but pump the turn

edit: I'll bet $5.25 to win $9.85 that you lost this hand, i think as played rivers probably a fold

Yes that is right: do not size your raises relative to the bet of your opp, size them relative to the size of the total pot (which obviously includes latest opp's bet)!

You probably beat enough hands there to call. He could have 99-KK and be betting it through to the river hoping no overs drop , then putting in a big value bet when they dont. 55 -33 is also possible, and 24o or 24s if its a jackal , if he put you on overs, makes sense too. bets on the straight draw, picks up a 4 for a pair and a straight draw on the turn and picks up 2 pair on the river, where he's cackling to himself thinking you wont lay down your big pair to a shove. out of the Ax hands, probably only A-2s, A-4 , A-8 and AK-AJ are betting the flop, so that's only half of the Ax hands. Probably only 6-4 would bet on the flop. So you beat enough hands there to call, probably. It's top set so you obviously have to put him on exactly Ax or 6x.
