I''d say i agreequite a bit, I read plenty of books on limit holdem and still
cant beat it. But i learned to play no limit sats by experience and i beat them. Hes right you got to find a style and game that suit you

    Thats a good article Easyp.

I always like to here what Phil has to say about poker.

At this moment in time -
I need to learn the Maths and get a better and solid foundation before I develop my own style. If I have any style at the moment ,its developed from artcles and videos from this site and GS. And my own exerience.

Ill deal with Mr Ivey some time in the future. He better be doing his research on me if he knows whats good for him.

It looks like they asked him to write an article and he jotted down something in 20 minutes just to appease them. It should be an article written by "Captain Obvious."

meh, just kinda seems like plain old poker rhetoric. i can't really imagine reading that article and coming away from it a better player.

I would not like to learn to fly a plane by trial and error and I would not want to sit at even a 2NL table and try to win with no poker knowledge. I agree with Celtic123 that you need a solid foundation before trying to develop a style. Mr Ivey's advice is not for beginners.

Is there a reason I'm reading an article from November 7th 2007.
