Default There's no getting away from this right? (5NL FR)

This guy was 43/14 after only 14 hands so not much history there.
I have to admit there wasn't much intelligent thought on my part during the hand. I usually don't give those small bets much credit b/c most of the time it's a draw or nothing at all, and I was gonna let him do the betting / catch up a little - which was prob stupid .
When the 3rd J came out I was sure i was good.

Could / Should I have gotten away from this on the river???

The fold button would be practically invisible to me here.

There might be someone who can find a fold, but it sure isn't me. There are just too many hands in villains range here to put him on the elusive J. But I don't like the flop c/c.

I don't like checking the flop because a pair on the flop tends to make small pp's call our c-bet. This may be the only street we can get value out of with our overs, and of course I want to make spades pay to draw. I lead this flop for .50ish

Also, don't post results, and don't suggest that there is a need to get away. That's letting everyone know you lost the hand, and therefore decreasing meaningful discussion because we already know the outcome.

gotchya. First time posting a hand and using that converter tool.
I knew i played this hand poorly and I'm way ahead practically all the time on the turn. and if i had won the hand i prob missed alot of value.

Slow playing is a bad habit i'm trying to break

slowplaying isn t bad in itself, just try to figure out what hands you ll be called by and value bet when there are more hands that call in villain's range than there are hands that fold, especially when you're not worried about protection like on the turn here.

Keep thinking this way and you'll turn into this guy.

that fold is fine, and speaks a lot to how Durrrr views JC and that he believes he's pretty good at poker to pull that move. The best illustration of your example would be Hellmuth folding QQ PF against a single-raise 20bb's deep on PAD.
