$25nl - Set in between nit reg and fish

Okay villain who open raised is 8/5/2.6 with a 65% c-bet. His attempt to steal blinds stat is only 8%. This is over a 500 hand sample. We've played at 10nl/25nl, but I haven't really seen him show down anything interesting. He's just very tight. Despite the fact that the sample size is small, his WTSD stat is still only 16%...

The player who called in the blind is some random fishy player (44/0 over 20-30 hands).

Questions for discussion:
-Would you rather raise flop than turn?
-Would you ever decide to call the turn instead of raise to entice the fish to put more money into the pot with any sort of junk he likely has?

I think by the time we reach the turn we need to raise for protection/value because there are too many river cards that will kill our action, or complete some sort of draw.

One thing to note though, is I feel villain is capable to laying down AQ/KQ/maybe even AA or KK to my shove due to my relative position making my hand virtually face up. So I considered calling the turn and allow villain to 3barrell or c/c river with these sort of hands, but I was hoping to get some second opinions on that. I don't have a note that he stacks off with overpairs in spots like this, and given that such a note is one of my priorities when note taking on regs, I must not have seen such an event happen. Given that his WTSD stat is on pace for being very low, I don't think I'm really going to get much more than 2 streets out of him anyway.

Perhaps I just answered my own question here, but I still think this is a decent hand which could be beneficial for others to review. Or of course it's just super stanard and I should be flamed .

Also, with the raise sizing, I felt like If I was going to raise I should just shove. Any thoughts on that?

FWIW I'd like to make an interesting note on villain's bet sizing on turn:

It looks as though he's trying to pot control a 1 pair type hand so that he will be only conditionally committed to the hand: He sets up the perfect opportunity to stack off versus the fish while avoiding any heat from hero, who has him covered.

Okay so for those SPR lovers out there, villain has met a good SPR to stack off vs the fish in the blinds, but is left with a poor SPR to stack off against me.

Raise flop. Fish donks out, pfr raises, no point in waiting for a 9 or J to fall and scare the nit off. Raise little enough, so that a shove by the BB reopens the action.

Yeah looking back at how alot of turn cards kill my action I think the only option is raising flop. That and the nit probably won't fold to my flop raise, but may just fold the turn.
