Default AK hits king turn 25nl

table is playing reasonably loose-passive. I've been around 20-17 and not out of line much, I've raised a couple of times and taken down pots, also folded a medium pot when it became obvious my middle pair was worth nothing.

Pre-flop seems standard - bet sizing?
I'm left HU against a 19-5 over 65 hands who had his stack before i got to the table. Nothing much to note, he's folded a couple of flops to cbets. Flop i decide not to c-bet. Turn is nice, but it's strange to see villain bet. Call turn and re-assess on river?

    Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Party-Poker Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    SB ($64.63)
    UTG ($22.05)
    Hero (BB) ($25)
    CO ($27.56)
    MP ($38.85)
    Button ($31.80)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
2 folds, CO bets $1, Button calls $1, SB calls $0.90, Hero raises $4.25, 2 folds, SB calls $3.50

    Flop: ($11) 6, 3, 5 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($11) K (2 players)
SB bets $5, call and make a river decision?

Preflop size is fine, maybe a tad bit bigger but fine. I can't see any other play than call and re-evaluate aka call basically all rivers or bet when checked to. His range is like all PP < QQ/AK/and maybe KQ.

wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from
Did I do too many drugs as a child or is UTG really between SB & BB at PartyPoker...? I'm assuming you're BB.

Maybe 66,55,33 hoping the PF3bettor would cbet so could go for the chk/rai. Or thinking you may be TT-QQ and not digging the K? Although big squeeze pre, chk thru a whiffed flop def makes sense for AK.

I think you beat enough to call this and eval on the Ri. Get to showdown as cheap as possible? Maybe value bet a non-club/straight River if checked to. If he's got a set he's doing a crappy job of getting value from it....

As I continue to stare at this.... I guess another option is he puts you on AK as a big chunk of your range (based on prev line...) He flopped a set, checked the flop w/ the intent of chk/raising -- screwed that pooch -- now figures there's a good chance you hit TPTK and thinks a small $5 bet is good enough bait to a) maybe get you to value town yourself by raising or b) at least get a call out of you so he gets some kind of value.

I think he's either making a weak bluff at a scare card vs the bottom of what he thinks is your squeeze range TT-QQ, and keeping it small so he can bet fold if you have AK and raise him big. Or, it's the flopped set/AK thought process above.

...or he's got like QcJc/AcJc/AcQc making a really questionable call OOP PF that he's trying to block the right pricing for his FD.

I think I still call and reeval on River... after all that random rambling...

He's probably bluffing/semi-bluffing. That's what it looks like to me.

    Oh really? With what?

sarbox - yeah agreed he can have those club combos in his range which I missed in my previous post. I still call and I guess now re-evaluate on river.

well it's obvious we have AK and he doesnt seem to care

Are we nervous because villain half bet after checking? Air is completly in his range IMO. I could even justify a raise depending on if he bets draws or not...I guess the story is youve been at the table for 6 orbits and dont competly know where you stand. Villain doesnt know we have AK because he is acting before us. Just because he took our barrel means we become passive now? I would CC to keep pot small and re-evaluate river. UNLESS he is drawey, then hes getting poped back. But then again, I also tend to risk to much with TPTK.
