    Default Please Vote for Me to Get into the Pokerstars Big Game! Jared Huggins

    Hi I'm Jared Huggins and I'm trying to earn a spot in the PokerStars Big Game. Please register and vote for me once/day at this link: http//memelabs.com/pokerstars/?play=20167 Until a months ago, I had never heard of the Pokerstars Big Game, because for most of the last year I was homeless, and didn't own a television. I had a rough year, people at 2+2 helped me changed my life around.

    I also may get the chance to do some work here at FlopTurnRiver so I'm excited about that!

    Below is a summary of my story by John "Jimmylegs" Wray. If anyone has any questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Thank you!

    "A down-on-his-luck grinder, Jared initially posted because he'd busted his roll. And even though he was working three regular jobs to make ends meet, he was facing eviction from his apartment. A few cynical posters challenged him to make some embarrassing videos in exchange for a few dollars, a typical response from BBV. It was offered as a joke, but astonishingly he embraced the challenges with joy and personality and immediately we all fell in love with him.

    He had no other family so 2p2 essentially adopted him, and members have been offering him jobs and advice and encouragement to keep him off the street. He has struggled against a family history of abuse and neglect and medical conditions, but through it all has remained one of the most positive people we've ever had the good fortune to come across. And for every dollar donated to Jared, he's given it back to us tenfold in joy and laughter."

    Sorry Jared. I was drunk. Everything I said was serious but you'll get a vote too. I showed your story to my gf weeks ago (she knows nothing about poker) and she was in tears. I was just a little upset that your first post at these boards was a campaign.

    In a perfect world it'd be great to have courtie and you.

    Good luck, you seem like a good guy. I emailed PokerStars and asked about the voting and this is what they said:

    Hello Courtney,

    Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

    Please note that the reference to voting in the automated email that you received was an error. Voting will not be used as part of the selection process.

    The issue has been reported to Memelabs and the voting will take no effect in the decision of the selected videos. We sincerely apologise for this inconvenience.
    Maybe you have info that I don't have, but it seems to me that the votes don't matter. That being said, I think it's fun to get the 2p2 community behind you and have them rack up the votes. I just wouldn't stress out about it.

    Just watched your video! I like the part when you talk about how you've worked a bunch of different jobs and how you're on the grind. It makes me feel motivated!
