    Default More interesting 25NL hands

so far I've played 1500 hands
    at 40bb/100 lol. niiiice

    Heres some interesting hands:

    1)Aces are overrated:
Villain is 10/7/15 over 170 hands.
    He goes to showdown 19%
    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    BB ($25)
    UTG ($27.24)
    MP ($26.60)
    CO ($31.03)
    Hero (Button) ($32.13)
    SB ($29.54)

Preflop: Hero is Button with A, A
UTG bets $0.85, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2.45, 2 folds, UTG calls $1.60

    Flop: ($5.25) 4, 7, 3 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3.50, UTG raises to $7, Hero calls $3.50

    Turn: ($19.25) Q (2 players)
    UTG bets $7, Hero...
Do people check raise flops like this with 1010+ or are we generally screwed?

    AQ IP
    Villain is 24/14/2.5 with a 9% 3b only over 30hands
Calling in position with AQ is best here?
    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Hero (CO) ($29.62)
    Button ($25)
    SB ($25.51)
    BB ($29.80)
    UTG ($30.19)
    MP ($25)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, Q
2 folds, Hero bets $1, 1 fold, SB raises to $2.75, 1 fold, Hero calls $1.75

    Flop: ($5.75) 7, Q, 4 (2 players)
SB bets $3.50, Hero calls $3.50

    Turn: ($12.75) 10 (2 players)
    SB bets $8.75

What I'm confused about is should I be raising the flop?

An off topic question, When we flop a set OOP against PFR on an ace high board do we generally want to lead, or check raise?
Or is this more player dependent, i.e if hes agg let him value town himself by c/cing his CBs.

in ur accounts... confiscating ur funz
AA - I like your bet sizing

Think about what hands he could have here, and what the benefit is of calling vs 3-betting on the flop.

AQ - In this particular situation you have the nuts. Your range is very wide (at least it should be) - he apparently realizes that... you could 3-bet/get it in pre against some opponents, but AQs flops very well - you need to play draws very aggressive, and float the right flop textures sometimes to make a call profitable.
You could raise the flop trying to represent a bluff, but calling down is fine, value bet the river if he checks most of the time.

Sets on A high boards I would either lead or c/c, and only c/r if it's like A98, 2-tone, Axx monotone, or something draw heavy, where my range is not just 80%set, 20% bluff.

KK - just bet full pot on the flop... or someting like 3.75 - then turn would be an easy shove... as played it's a little gay... I would bet close to pot again... you need to give up on some rivers though.

But I don't really dislike any of those.
    Well played

    1. You need to know how often he folds to 3bets. As played push allin. Pushing the flop wouldn't be bad too in most cases as from what I remember people raised overpairs a lot regardless of putting us on a range.

    2. Due to his size and stuff flatting is fine. You want more hands on him than assume he 3bets light but judging by hit gap in his stats plus his sizing, he's more than likely a donk. Because of this, fucking with him on the flop with a minraise could be good as it would also balance your bluffs if you both chose to stay at the table longer as well as make him spew with air/medium strength hands. I'd more than likely just play it the same and just keep calling. Not terribly happy with a T but meh.

    3. Keep betting. 5 is a good card because I can't see any of them having a bare 5 and a lot of worse hands on the flop will still call on the turn. I'd make it like $9.

As for your set question I'd c/c almost always unless there was history or the board was really wet in which most cases I'd c/r or lead if I have lead before. Poker's pretty fun when we have a strong hand vs. an aggressive range.

    Thanks for the responses guys,

    1st hand:
I do need to know how often he folds to 3bets, lol. I shoved turn he flipped over 77. I still think this hand screams SET especially min c/r and leading the turn. But I couldn't get away from it.

    2nd Hand:
The river was a blank and he shoved, I called. He had 34 of hearts.
Told me off for not raising, I said "don't berate the fish.

    3rd Hand:
I bet 11, they both fold. But I put them both on draws so was charging max. I think kminds sizing would've been better. I need to work on my turn bet sizing. I think I generally bet to much on drawy boards, when betting a little less will get more calls(at bad odds) and more value in the long run.
