Default $25 NL QQ Facing 3-bet OOP VS Unknown

This is the guys second hand after posting in the cutoff. He basically insta-raised here. Call, fold, 4-bet - but please explain why.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    CO ($25)
    Button ($8.90)
    SB ($26.30)
    BB ($40.20)
    Hero (UTG) ($25)
    UTG+1 ($23.20)
    MP1 ($4.65)
    MP2 ($14.75)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, Q
    Hero bets $1, UTG+1 calls $1, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $3, 4 folds, Hero ?

Don't fold (you has teh queeeeeens)
    Don't 4-bet (you'll polarise his range)
    That leaves just calling.

def not fold. i'm not too big of a fan on calling either. the guy has 11.75 left after his preflop raise, so bought in short and posts a blind which has me leaning towards he has no idea what he's doing anyway and can call with worse.

    raise>call>>>>fold

I'm happy to post from CO or later rather than wait, so don't read too much into that. Or the 3/4 BI for that matter.

seriously? you're costing yourself money with both, so if you do either... stop doing it. you should have an edge on the table (at this limit you can move to another table if you dont have an edge, there are plenty) and want to maximize it by playing 100bb.

Also why post when you're on the CO? Start up more tables, get yourself comfortable, look at the hands being played. you're paying a bb to play the lesser profitable positions on the table once you've passed the CO. Perhaps this is a Full Ring thing, but I would like to hear the advantages of it.

I'd call in this position. Your hand is to big to fold. Get to the flop and see what develops. However, if you call his bet your crossing the commitment threshold, so mostly likely unless the flop hurts you, your committed.

Ok but let's not hijack the thread. I always buy in full, but I've seen plenty of competent players buy in with less. Sure it's an indicator of skill, but not a strong one, hence don't read too much into it.

CO + BU I'll pay for position, anything else then I'm waiting (MP3 once in a while). Yes, FR. I do it because a/ it's a good place to sit while you're totally unknown b/ it gives people an impression if you post, and first impressions count for a lot. We've all done it, a guy joins and posts from UTG+3 and our first thought is 'donk wanting action', right?

I just don't feel that the post + 3/4 BI is enough of a read to justify a 4bet, but it's only my humble opinion, and it may well be wrong

just call. if he has aces and no K or A hits you're likely to be stacked 'cause you're outta position, but you're giving yourself a much better opportunity at getting value from AJ and JJ and KQ and such.

as a side note i'll definitely post from CO. if i get J9o, i don't raise and if the flop doesn't come two pair or better then i stay outta the hand. i really don't think i'm costing myself much money doing this (who's to say that having to play your first two hands OOP AND having to post a combined 1.5bb is any better?!)

since it's his first hand we have not much else to go by. We have a very strong hand and are only dominated by 2 hands. Since it seems he's bad (to me at least) I'm pretty sure he can talk himself into calling here with JJ/TT/AQ/AJ and perhaps worse. People do some crazy shit. We have Queens, it's 60bb. As I said calling isnt bad either. Do you think he only calls AA/KK/AK? even against that range we ain't completely crushed

I understand where you're coming from bigpapi and I'm sure both are +ev. The only wrong move here is a fold

yeah. if you were IP it'd be easier to just call and outplay him on the flop, but OOP against a bad player, i could see both arguments
