Default Ahh..deep madness and a gross river

I dunno If this is a cooler or what..Villain is 7/4 and can't fold postflop.

I don't get how I fold here. He'll do this with a set probably just out of boredom because he dones't play any hands. Any thoughts on how I played the hand though?

For the record I'm down about 9 100bb buy-ins in deep pots....it's killing the win rate and holding me back. I always end up never being able to fold the near nuts. (He never has QJ here so he basically has the nuts) I felt so weak tight if folding here though which I why I called. I hindsight it seems like an easy fold given the action, but is it really?

Oh yeah I don't really know why the hell I checked the turn..

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, A
    1 fold, Hero bets $0.20, MP1 calls $0.20, 6 folds

    Flop: ($0.47) 3, 10, 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.35, MP1 raises to $1, Hero calls $0.65

    Turn: ($2.47) 7 (2 players)
    Hero checks, MP1 checks

    River: ($2.47) 9 (2 players)
    Hero bets $2.10, MP1 raises to $8.26 (All-In), Hero calls $5.73 (All-In)

    Total pot: $18.13 | Rake: $0.90

    Results:
Hero mucked A, A (flush, Ace high).
MP1 had J, J (straight flush, Jack high).
    Outcome: MP1 won $17.23

Guess I'm just going to start leaving tables immediately when I double up even if there's fish around since I always end up getting stacked deep.

Now that I look at it again, are the pot odds reasonable if we think he'll spazz with the K-high flush sometimes + poorly played sets?

Is there anything wrong with hero trying to get it all in on the turn? Good hand, ahead of his range strong redraw....

Personally I would have reraised preflop and on the flop and all my money would have been in on either the flop or turn depending on how the betting went.

I wonder what nlhe would be like if you could reraise preflop after your initial raise gets flatted

Yeah that's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure so I wimped out and checked. If I threw a PSB into him he'd most likely be shoving or folding I think.----EDIT: wait no..that's what I'd want him to do because it would be an easy call. If he flat's me then I'm super confused on what he has after he raised the flop.

uhh, if he flats, you give him hell on the river if you hit any one of your 11 outs.

If he shoves, that's a lot closer, and it depends on your reads as to whether or not you call.

If he flats and the 9d comes, he won't have a Jd alot of the time so I can just shove and get decent pot odds considering I might get value out of a K somtimes. If I be the turn and he shoves I'd getting 3-and-a-bit-to-1 so that's not bad considering I'd be 4-1 for a flush and I'm good against JJ-KK which makes up for the incorrect pot odds to draw. So by betting here I have a chance of getting a fold or shove and will be able to avoid an akward situation on the river if he just checks behind - I planned on calling his bet on the turn anyway. Now that I think about it even more, he might come over with his JJ because he tried to steal the initiative on the flop, the turn brough him extra outs and won't fold a big pair. If he calls the turn bet there's no way I'm folding even the worst (9d) river.

I think your right about betting the turn. His range is so static I don't see how I'm not super pleased to be continuing with AA here. Fuck being 200bb deep and all this 'don't stack off with 1 pair type shit when your deep that I've read'. I think this is the spot to do it if there ever was one. The guy is 7/4, I dout he even knows how to set-mine. He probably folds 22-TT in this early of position to a raise because he'll be afraid of someone re-raising down the table. I shake my head at myself for not getting the $ in early in the hand because after thinking about what types of hands call my raise here, I'm way ahead on the flop.
