when fish go all in preflop...

Are there any generalities on what the typical fish has to cause him/her to go all in preflop, especially when under a buck. I figure its usually Arag or KK- cause they would be afraid of aces, kings etc if its a good pocket pair. Has anyone been involved in a significant amount of these hands to see what the fish had?

Fish are not smart- that is why they are...fish. They do not think rational.

They will do it when:

They have lost a couple of big hands

Rationale: 1) Its my turn to win, 2) I want to quickly win back what I lost.

They believe that someone has bluffed them off a hand

Rationale:

1) I will show them what a bluff really is. 2) I will not be bullied!

They are on a losing streak, bad negative variance

Rationale:

1) I have lost so much, what does another buy-in matter now?

2) My luck is bound to turn around- now!

3) Poker is rigged. I have lost with Aces and Kings, maybe I will win if I play those crappy cards myself?

Hard for me to think like a fish, but maybe they think along these lines??

I was goofing around tonight at 6max micro tables - I'm normally always a SNG player.
I watched a guy go in on the first hand I sat down - got called, flipped the winner, Q8. He was stealing blinds (3 cents) with his $1.80 or whatever shove.
I decided I would be happy to sit at his table and ravage his stack. Unfortunately I made him overpay ridiculous amounts on two hands and got hammered by the poker gods on both. Apparently it was his turn to win?
