catching a piece after a light 3bet

The villian runs 28/23 and folds to 3bets a fair amount. A flop like this usually leaves me wondering, whether or not I want to cbet. Im kinda lost, since I have some SD value and my bet will rarely get called by any worse or fold out stronger holdings. Then again, I figure that most A/K turns and rivers enable me to shove him off 99-JJ. Whats ur line and why?

i wouldnt be worrying about bluffing him off of some over pair yet. both of your points lead to the same flop line, take your value and check and re-evaluate turn.

yea also its the kind of flop where u get shipped on a lot and not doin too hot to bet/call. If it's 863r keep in mind our hand is the same pretty much but it's less likely to get shipped on so theres more incentive to bet to protect ur hand.

Yah your 3bet is pretty big, I'd just make it 3x IP so if he opens 3.5 I'd make it $10.50.

As played, I'd check this flop back for pot control and to induce bluffs on the turn. Also for the reasons Alexos suggested, that this board is gonna get shipped a lot and we're not too happy b/c here.

I thought these were the kind of hands you add first to your 3bet range when you're 3betting light? If not what kind of hands do we want to 3bet?

I like 3betting sc's oop but ip they have way too much value imo.

I don't mind the 3bet since its CO vs BTN and its more likely to get squeezed than UTG vs BTN. 78s is probably the tweener hand in that regard, i think that 45s for example doesnt have a lot of value postflop, whereas JTs has a ton of value. Just nitpicking though, I don't think its a huge deal either way. 3bet size is decent I don't think its a leak or anything.
