Default Can I move up now?

After booking a few winning sessions in a row, my bankroll has finally hit $500. That's 20 buyins for 25NL and since I've played at 10NL for a long time I was wondering if you guys think it's safe for me to move up.

Here are some PT stats/graphs. Click on my sig if you need more in depth graphs

It's really a personal judgement call. With only 20 BI's I would suggest 'taking shots' as oppossed to just jumping in. Example: if you play 4 tables, play 3 tables of 10NL and 1 of 25NL to sort of ease yourself into the game. I'm a huge bankroll nit so I personally wouldn't be going up to 25NL without 30BI's minimum. But if you do the take a shot approach, you could log another 5K hands or so at 10NL while getting experience at 25NL. Everyone will give you different advice on this subject though so this is just my 2 cents.

20k hands really isn't that many but if you feel confident enough about it, I would definitely take shots because 25NL isn't that tough to beat. Just make sure you're comfortable with losing a few stacks and won't be playing scared.

yes move up. the faster you move up through micro's means the faster you will make real money. this is a concept that i think way too many people dont get. its like 2nl-100nl are just filled with so many clown faces that you just need to think how fast can i get to 200nl? then worry about am i good enough.

move up. Don't be scared to lose a few stacks. Drop back if your roll hits $420. Your game looks solid enough to beat the next few levels

I moved up when I hit $650, but that was just a personal preference. I'm glad I did, because I took a 3 BI downswing before making any money. If I only had 20 BI, I would have felt like I needed to drop back down (meaning I would have to win back 7.5 BI @ $10NL). I prefer the cushion.

As far as taking a shot goes, I wouldn't mix tables, but maybe only play one. It gets confusing as hell to play tables at different stakes.

Agree, just don't change your play any.. it looks solid. Drop down again if you hit like $400.. hopefully that won't happen.

20,000 hands in 23 days... wish I could play that much. I just love working 80 hours a week. You're a winning player at $10NL. Just set a stop-loss at $25NL and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Have you asked your mom first?

A smart man learns only from his own mistakes.
A wise man learns from his own mistakes, and those of the smart man and the fool.
