Default Winning money by tilting a table, or playing ABC poker?

On another forum someone asked how to win against real beginners at low stake tables.
Most people suggested playing tight ABC poker, but one person "said just raise and re-raise everything pre-flop, and when you hit something good, just make a huge raise and someone will gladly call off 160bb with middlepair."
He claimed this method worked more than fine for him at low stakes.
    Can this really be true?

That is horrible advice. Play and learn ABC poker for a long time. Get a good handle of the basics and you will win quite a bit at low stakes. Do not be a 3betting monkey. Those are called maniacs, and they are very +EV.

Trying to tilt a table can work in a live game. Maniac image owns a live game because people will be afraid of you (since most players in live games are putting scared money on the table). No one pays attention online at low stakes online so just play standard tight/aggressive. You can't force folds when someone only has $5 to call.
