    Default 2 hands needing advice...

These situations are my undoing. I have something (high pair or a good piece of the flop) but the board looks dangerous to me.

This first hand was the very first hand I played. I have no HUD and no reads on player since I just started. After the hand he played tight and didn't play alot which leads me to think he was deliberate and conservative.

    Hero: ??

Given his play after this hand I am thinking he wasn't just making a move. However he could of had K10+, A10+, TT+ from what I can imagine...
I didn't think I could just call, it was either fold or all-in.

    Hero?

This also happened fairly early in the session so I didn't have a lot of reads on him. However I thought he was generally more loose than the others and as the session went on he continued to play quite loose, he saw lots of flops. I had seen him play a few pots where he bet strongly with TP but bad kicker.
I put his range on: K5+, 77+, Q10+, possibly mid to high suited connectors.
His smooth calls just told me he was going for the draw...
Should I have folded PF? Should I have raised preflop? Should I have called?

Use the hand converter please (link to your left).
As short stacked as you are, I think you need to push the flop. If you call you have to stack off.

Second hand I really don't know. I'm pretty sure you're beat... most of his range is either 2pair, flush, set or even a straight. I don't see him valuebetting worse, and I don't see what he would call down/bluff the river with. There are players at micro stakes who would value bet like 92 here, so it depends on notes. Against unkown I think it's a pretty standard fold.
The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.
