Gotta shove the turn. Depends on your wat u put the villian on preflop, 4x probably is AK sucks to have 2 lay that down.

As played I fold river but you need to be betting so much more with the nuts on the flop and turn on a board like this. There are a lot of hands that have hit hard enough to continue and a lot of hands that can draw out on you. You don't need to shove like cremson suggested but you need to be betting close to pot size.

EDIT: Also you should be raising or folding in the CO w/QTs

    He does!

I don't like anything about that hand. 5-handed I think you can raise this UTG. Limp-calling is horrible.
Raise that flop hard. There are a lot of strong hands that will call you. Bet pot on the turn.
If you're not trying to get your stack in by the river with the nuts, I don't want to know how you're betting TP.

I actually thought I had the nuts here up until the river and was slow playing. River card completely screwed this up.

Yeah, thats pretty much our point. Dont slowplay.

What did it accomplish?? You may have held worse hands in there with your pansy ass bets, but all you're really doing is letting them outdraw on you cheaply.

Think about it like this too.

When you flop the nuts you bet like a bitch trying to get me a tag along. I play a few hundred hands with and and I will know this. So when you flop TPTK or something vulnerable and bet out hard I can stack you when I flop my two pair because I know you do not have the nuts.

Just one other reason not to bet like a bitch with the nuts.

Everyones dead on so far but think about these questions.

What does slowplaying acomplish in general?
What reasons do good players have for slow playing? (hint: not just to trick their opponents).
What sort of hands can our opponent have here?
How many of those hands will build a bigger pot with us if we slowplay than if we just bet every street?
How many of those hands will build a bigger pot with us if we bet every street rather than slowplaying?

If you think about those questions I think you will see why your slowplay was a mistake, and you will be a better player for it.

Ok, Ok, I quit betting like a bitch (I think). I bet like I am suppose to for the last couple of days and I'm up about 7BI's. Let's see how well I do tonight...

Oh, and I got it again on IRC too.

    Remember this piece of advice:

DON'T EVER SLOWPLAY A STRAIGHT, NOT EVEN THE NUT STRAIGHT!

Keep in mind that your set made someone's two pair or trips or draw to a better straight (i.e., you have 87 and the flop comes T96 -- the nuts! but if you slowplay, and a Q comes on the turn, KJ has the nuts) . Also, when you hit your straight, you can't improve. Flush draws and sets are often out against you, don't let them beat you.

Especially when you flop broadway in a multiway pot, you know someone has hit that board hard and someone with two pair thinks THEY'VE got the nuts and is slowplaying you.

Not only do you not want hands to draw out on you, many bad cards can come on the turn to kill your action. So get the money in NOW NOW NOW while they're willing to pay. If a diamond or any face card comes off on the turn, you may be beaten or the board will be too scary to get any more money in -- even dimwits usually know their two pair ain't good on an AKJT board.

I don't know when I would play those cards. I guess cuz I'm a Newb I'm playing tight as hell.

But if I think you should raise the flop more, at least pot size or triple what he bet. And definitely bet the pot or more on the turn.
