Right, I'm basically getting prawned everytime I try to move back up to 25NL and I believe a lot of it is just running bad and getting coolered lots - but I want to make sure I'm correct. I know this is lots of hands to post in one topic, so I guess I'm not after in depth, detailed discussion - but if anyone feels like letting me know if there are any glaring errors in these hands I'd be very grateful.

Hand #1. IMO you either push the turn or check fold. generally, people at 10 and 25NL don't value bet. big bets usually mean they have it. especially since you showed strength on the flop.

these are basically all cooler hands bro.

hand 2. cooler i don't really like pushing the river. if he has AQ or AK make it 10 or 12. based on the way he played it, you are only getting called if you are behind. he looks so weak.... shoving makes no sense. again... you are playing like most people at this level... you think you have the nuts so you are over betting hoping to get called. make it 8 or 10 and if he has something decent he will call and you get value. if he shoves over your value bet, i suppose you'd have to call then... as a set is to good to fold for 10 more in a giant pot. someone pwn me if giving bad advice there.

hand 3. total cooler. raise 33 UTG.

hand 4. AGAIN... these people bet big when they really have it. 90% of people at 10NL and 25NL check call draws even gutshots (save a OESDF) but check raise sets and sometimes over pairs. some may disagree but a fold is viable. if you want to get all the money in just reraise again on the flop. it looks like you called the CR to re-evaluate... and then changed your mind on the turn and called. still... you were 2 outed... cooler.

hand 5. please raise limpers on the button with ANY hand you want to see a flop with. again... the guy CRaises over bets for "value". very transparent at this level. a fold is valid... but its still a cooler. IMExperience... these players don't bluff much at all... certainly not for stacks... and bet huge when they have it... praying they get paid off. on a side note... i personally do not like connectors below 67... cuz 45 splits with A3 but 67 pwns them.

I don't hate his line if he did it for the right reasons. Although I think I'm check/shipping the turn. So many worse hands check behind the river missing what otherwise would be a value bet of a worse hand from a stronger player, so we need to ship the turn or block the river.

Can't bring myself to check/fold top set against a button open. One of those spots where I'm giving action to flush and hope he's bruffing some % of the time.

do you guys ever play 25NL? you guys are at much higher levels no? at least 1/2 if not 2/4+??

in my experience... people RARELY bluff off their whole stack. people generally play so weak at this level... that when the bet big they usually have it. the maniacs stick out like a sore thumb cuz everyone else is generally so tight. people play generic abc poker... when they bet big they have it.

if others have different observations at 25NL please chime in.

I'm familar with tight and less aggressive opponents which sounds like this guy. Also I play a fair amount of live poker.

In a more aggressive game this becomes a laughably easy felt, I understand your reservations in a more passive game.

The 25NL spin in this is that his turn bet is a better hand more often and when he has a worse hand he's checking behind the river.

Stronger players are betting the turn more often and have a wider value bet range and bluff frequency on the river.

If you lost all of these hands, that's a major cooler.. you can lay down hand 4, maybe hand 1 if you want to be very nitty, but the rest look perfectly ok to me even if you know they only bet strong hands big..

yup 4 and 1 are the only ones where a fold has merit.

i don't like the river bet with 222.

and you shoulda raised on the button with 45s.
