    Default tourn vs cash

I am just curious if any one out there knows or someone or is someone who is making a good living at tournaments online. What i am trying to figure out is what it would takes to make a good living at playing atleast 70% of your online play tournaments. I am definately a better tourn player but would rather be a cash player. However I still have tons to learn at the cash side. Does any one out there think you can make a living at playing sit n goes and tourn online strickly.

I am just curious. I know about 75% or more of the FTR people play donimatly ring games Just curious on what the rest of the world thinks.

    Thanks
    Don

wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from
Big - Short answer is yes. I suck at tournaments (unless they at my house, 'cause then I can use my "special" cards... ) but I understand the variance is higher but $ definitely there.

you can make a lot of money playing tournies only. the drawbacks of this route are the time investments and the variance. as far as sng's go...you can make money in them and have a decent roi, but you've got to play a really high volume to earn a decent hourly/weekly/etc. rate.

So yeah, if I can do it, I think it's possible.

I think if invest time in playing SnGs (single-table), they're more consistent than cash games or tourneys in terms of variance. There's a lot of potential in tourneys but you could also risk going broke. Maybe you could try playing cash games to finance your tourney buy-ins.

It's a decent idea to play cash or SnGs on the side to help with the variance of MTTs, though.
