You could have got his whole stack.

1.) Flop play is ok in a unraised pot, I guess. I would have reraised to at least $0.50 after the bet-raise (someone likes their hand).

2.) Never slow play the turn after all that action, raise it up to $2.50 or more. Someone can still beat you with a heart on the river.

3.) If you did 1 and 2, the pot would be big enough to go all-in and still have naivlis call.

Slowplaying can be dangerous and it can be profitable.
Too much of anything is a bad thing.

Hmm you're very right actually, with his heart draw I could've lost a huge pot (I didn't even notice he had hearts), very very good points. Thank-you!

Potsized raise on flop, pot turn, pot river. This is not a good situation to slowplay, build the pot and get as much value as you can. Any heart beats you or kills your action. QJ, JT, 2 hearts, AK, even that bozo with Ax would pay you off.

Save those smoothcalls for non-multiway raised pots, where you can actually put someone on hand.

This was a dangerous slow-play. At a low-stakes table with no raises pre-flop, those other limpers could have anything. On the flop, you're definately ahead, (unless some idiot limped AA or KK.) but there are at least two possible draws to hands that beat you. We know about the flush draw, but anyone with QJ, JT, or QT also has a straight draw that could beat you. It's unlikely, someone could also have a higher pocket pair that yours, and is willing to pay .10 more to see the turn. Try to get more money in the pot when you know you're ahead, those draws are probably willing to pay you more.

So, I figured he might call the push, I pretty sure he was on the draw though.

If you are against a calling station you can put on a draw/ worse hand bet the flop and turn hard. Those are the streets they will pay off with if they are behind because they want to see more cards that they hope will help them. More times than not they fold to a big river bet if they missed whatever crazy draw they were on but you may get a value bet passed them just because they think you are bluffing even though they can't even beat a bluff.
