so when i got my hd reformatted and all that stuff, evidently the wireless got fucked up somehow, idk. i tried to connect to the wireless so i could play and watch tv at the same time, and it gave some stupid message when i tried to enter my password.

The network password needs to be either 40 bits or 104 bits depending on your network configuration. This can be entered as 5 or 13 ascii characters, or 10 or 26 hexadecimal characters.

does anyone know what the fuck this means?

ascii - letters, numbers, etc (actually everything, but you don't care about that)
hexadecimal - 0123456789ABCDEF


brand? Are you logging into your router? Or just trying through windows.


First, if you're having problems, turn off the encryption and try to get it to work. This is done through your router.

When you re-enable it see if you can use WAP instead of WEP it's >>>.
