Two scenarios
What would you guys do in these situations? I often find myself getting in these tight spots without knowing what to do.
1. Preflop you get something like AKs, AK, AQ, basically top cards but no pairs. You raise, get called by a couple of people.
Flop has something like 2 6 T rainbow. You are first to act. Do you bet pot, check or something else? I know if you check it instantly tells them that you have a AK or something similar. If you bet and someone calls, and say another low card comes out on turn, do you bet again, hoping that they will fold?
I have had times where I steal the pot by betting pot but also other times where I go to river and end up losing a good amount because I have to fold as they bet the river.
2. You have suited cards and 2 of the same suit flop. Do you bet into the pot and hope others call and hopefully get a flush by the river? Same also applies to trying to hit a straight by river.
If someone could give me some insight on these two areas, that would be really helpful. Although I have no pokertracker software or anything like that, I have a feeling that these two areas are where I am losing a lot of money because I'll bet the turn and river (trying to force the fold from the other players) and end up having to fold when someone keeps calling/or raising me.
