Default overpair most likely beat, facing 6:1 on river

    PokerStars Pot-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    Hero ($43.55)
    MP ($26.50)
    CO ($21)
    Button ($34.85)
    SB ($5.55)
    BB ($34.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, Q.
Hero raises to $0.75, 1 fold, CO calls $0.75, 3 folds.

    Flop: ($1.85) 3, 4, T (2 players)
Hero bets $1.25, CO calls $1.25.

    Turn: ($4.35) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $2.25, CO calls $2.25.

    River: ($8.85) 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $3.5, CO raises to $7, Hero?

This hand is kind of wierd, I slowed down on the turn to set up a cheaper showdown on the river. If he bets more on the river I might be inclined to try to catch a bluff, but the way it played I have to be beat, right?

I'm getting 6:1 but I'm almost certainly beat. Can we call this?

I am totally confused by villians betting. What hands, other than the nut flush, call behind on the turn? I would think a flopped set or a flush that completed on the turn would raise you there.

Then, the CIB raise on the river screams "please call me".

With that said, getting over 5.5 - 1 here I don't see how you CAN'T call this.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I see 30/3 types play a completed draw passively until the river when they go "oh crap, the pot isn't very big, better start betting".

As played you've gotta call that river bet ... maybe I like a check/call on the river better though. Vs a TAG I probably check the turn. vs a station I may use this line & laugh when he looks me up with TJ+, but I don't think he's re-raising the river with a ten unless it hit 2pr.

His line really looks like a slowplay IMO, but I still make a crying call...

Stronger players will give you grief on the turn with that line. It screams "I HAVE A G00T HAND BUT DIDN'T LIKE THAT TURN."

That said, it's probably pretty close to ideal against this 'tard.

I would pay this off because I'm a pay-off bitch.

What about the turn would tip stronger players off? The 1/2 pot, or the lead out? What would you do with the queens vs a TAGGy villain on this turn...check?

And what would you do as the villain if your hearts draw just completed when facing a turn bet vs a TAGG/LAGG/station/rock? Would you assume weakness and slow it down vs a TAGG?

I like inducing bluffs. Particuarly against aggressive opponents on the river or without much money behind.
