Signing up for PokerStars

So I signed up for Full Tilt before coming to FTR and learning about Rakeback and referrals and everything else so I lost out on a bunch of $$.

Now I want to sign up for Stars, but want to be smart about it. What is the best method for signing up to get max Rakeback, bonus, etc?

This is probably covered in a post somewhere, so just a link in the right direction would be great.

Stars does not offer rakeback, but they do have a point system where you can use your points to swap for cash...
