What (if anything) should I be noting here...

Villian and Hero have 100bb effective stacks @100NL or smaller stakes.
Villian's stats are (12 +/-3 vp$P, and 6 +/-2 PFR, and total agg of 2.5 over 500 hands)
Despite the stats, hero is a moron, doesn't take notes often enough, and therefore doesn't have a known history with this opponent.

Hero raises in MP with QQ, the Button calls. Flop is AJ7 (or thereabouts). The flop might have two suited, but is not monotone. (pot 9.5bb)

My standard play would be to cbet here... against some opponents (those with <25% Fold to Cbet maybe) I might check for pot control, but generally I'll just stick in 3/4PSB (+7bb) (remarks appreciated if any feel the need to comment on just this).

Opponent then raises 3x Hero's bet making the pot nearly 40bb... so it's 14bb to Hero and the pot would be 54bb if Hero calls... (i'm completely out of coffee today and so math corrections are appreciated...). Villain has 75bb behind after his raise.

I'm assuming this should be a fold almost all the time, due in part to fact that this is not a standard place for this Villain to get aggressive with less than TPGK, against this hero... also in part because of stack /pot sizes there aren't enough turn cards that help our Hero enough to make the likely outcome (all-in on the turn), +EV. (i could be WAY off-base here... feel free to flame at will)

Assuming most (or some) of what I said is true... what (if anything) should we note about this opponent for use in future hands...

I don't know if you can make an actual note out of this. I would suggest keeping this in the back of your mind and look for a similar situation where he either gets raised or goes to showdown. Then you can make your note regarding both pf calling ranges on the button and what hands he is raising with on A high flops. I usually make a note of the hand that I saw go to showdown and also make a note of what I suspect happened in the hand that didn't. That is, if I am not being lazy.

If nothing else, I like to know how my opps play TP type hands in typical situations. It makes a lot of things much clearer.

I've been trying to make a lot more notes... even if it's little things...

I was thinking of noting that he RR cbet on st'd Axx board.

mabye that's a total waste of time.. but my thinking is, if i show up with TPTK against this guy and he repops me; I think I'd be more inclined to look him up than if i didn't have that note previously.... maybe that's a bad idea.

Don't C bet into Nitty Taggs on A high boards when holding a showdown worthy hand.

try C/C on that opponent and see what he does on the turn.

I would write the note that he's capable of calling raises from the button pre and raising c bets.

Then you can see if this is a std play he uses positionally.
