Default PokerStars Bonuses to Rakeback % Chart

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I found it on 2+2 and rehosted to imageshack, but yeah the numbers are recent.

Edit: There's a thread at http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...=2#Post8642741 that has more complete numbers for VPP/hand at various games/levels.

so i guess its not really worth buying the bonuses until platinum?

Also, when you "buy" the bonus, what rate does it clear at?

Thanks Yeah I started at 10nl on a $200 loan in early May and have been playing $100nl for about a week now.

In terms of pure value, it's best to wait for the $1500 bonus, but that requires being Supernova, which will of course restrict it for a lot of players. It's fairly easy to make Platinum at 50nl and higher, so I'd have to recommend holding out for at least the $650.

You need 1995 VPPs (base FPPs) for the $285 bonus, 4550 VPPs for the $650, and 10500 VPPs for the $1500, and the source for that is the FPP Store (http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/store/special/) you can just click on the different bonuses. However, those VPPs required to clear the bonus aren't removed from your account, so you can use the FPPs from them on the next bonus, and so on.

I 12-table full ring, and my hourly MGR figures are $26/hr at 50nl, $45/hr at 100nl. For the Platinum level, the $650 bonus is then worth $5.41/hr at 50nl and $9.54/hr at 100nl. The $1500 bonus would be worth a nice $15.40/hr at 100nl, as well.

Sample size for 100NL FR is much larger than 200NL FR...so it's actually better to play 100NL FR for the $/hr, or are the numbers skewed a bit?
Save your stories 'cuz they're all the same..

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but I'll try to answer. The sample sizes given for different stakes isn't really relevant to anything dealing with these bonuses. The only reason there's different sample sizes is because the person who made the chart (who isn't me) used those size samples. I'm not even sure if all of the hands used were his own and I actually don't know the thread right off hand that the chart came from at 2+2.

So my attempt to give you an answer to your question, granted I'm not completely sure what you're asking, is that 100NL FR doesn't offer a better $/hr in terms of the bonuses.

Maybe I'M reading it wrong, but on each line for rakeback %, under NL100 the Gold rakeback % is 14.88 and NL200 is 14.14%. Platinum rakeback % is 21.21% at NL100 and 20.15% for NL200. Supernova rakeback % is 34.23 for NL100 and 32.55% for NL200.

Doesn't higher rakeback % mean that you are getting more money for your rake back? (May have worded previous post wrong)

Oh okay I see what you're asking. You actually pay more rake at 200nl, so even though the % you get is slightly less, you get more actual money.

Actually the Rakeback jumps with the milestone bonus:

    $2,000 at 200,000 VPP
    $3,000 at 300,000 VPP
    $4,000 at 400,000 VPP
    $5,000 at 500,000 VPP
    $6,000 at 600,000 VPP
    $8,000 at 800,000 VPP
$10,000 bonus at 1,250,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$10,000 bonus at 1,500,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$10,000 bonus at 1,750,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$20,000 bonus at 2,000,000 VPPs (100,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$10,000 bonus at 2,250,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$10,000 bonus at 2,500,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$10,000 bonus at 2,750,000 VPPs (50,000 Base FPPs to clear)
$20,000 bonus at 3,000,000 VPPs (100,000 Base FPPs to clear)

    Yep.

This chart is pretty old though so the numbers shouldn't be accurate.
