Default Flopped Straight BVB Facing Turn Shove (6.50)

First , is flatting the flop bet bad with the FD out there? My reasoning is i have postion , villian was agressive and a high percentage of the time this is air and if i flat it he might double barrell the turn with air , and i can raise than. Turn card not so good , what do i make of his overbet shove? Can i really fold this BVB?

I think you need to raise the flop bet. If he calls, you can narrow his range down quite a bit. As played, I think you have to call his overbet shove. What could he have that beats you? Any flush, obviously. However, you are beating random two pairs, sets, A9, K9, Q9, overpairs. Since it's 6.50 I wouldn't have a problem putting villain on any of those holdings, so I go ahead and pay him if he's got the flush.

As above poster I think I'm paying him off here, that shove looks more scared of the flush than actually wanting to get paid by hitting it.

Definately raise flop. Not only because of the FD out there, but because its the easiest way to get all our chips into the pot by the river.
Just dipping my toes back in.

From my experience, this kind of overbet is often a weak hand or draw that doesn't want a call rather than something that has you beat. Accordingly, I would raise his flop bet because the flush draw is well within his range.

As played, I can't fold to that ridiculous overbet, if he made the flush then I pay him I think. If he made the flush on the turn (unless it's a very weak flush), why would be try to blast you out of the pot with a shove? Most $6.50 players would check or bet tiny here.
