    Default Value town?

Villain tries to play well, meaning he does consider ranges and will put moves on opponents. I saw him bluff all-in vs. a short stack a when I first sat down. He repped trips when 2nd pair paired the board and he was checked to on the turn. Unfortunately for our villain the SS thought about laying it down, but couldn't let go of his KK.
Villain is running approx 40/25 or so and he is aggro. I've been playing tight for 20 or so hands and he has no reason to believe I am holding a 9 here. Did I miss value on the river or was I right to check behind? My thought process was: he's going to look me up light here so I think I'm ahead, but the A gives him the perfect CR all-in card to rep, since my range is mostly overpairs here. I don't know if I could call that push even with my read as he could have rivered 2 pair. I also don't think he's calling a river bet w/ worse since I could very well have 2 barreled AK, AQ. What do you all think?

Sums it up. I agree with the man above, although a check isn't neccessarily bad either here.

Just wondering what do you guys figure we are getting value from if we bet the river? Is this guy really calling down that light?

I tend to check behind on this board unless I know the guy is an any pair retard. Am I losing a lot of value?

a good v-bet size here would be like 35-40 but it's pretty fucking thin.
