    Default New member saying Hi!

Been hovering around for quite a while, reading all that I can on the site and finally decided to join and benefit from the wonderful advice that can be gotten here. I am a US player who is currently setting up an epassporte account so that I can deposit to FullTiltPoker. Hopefully that will come through in a couple days so that I can finally play for actual money instead of having to deal with all of the play money silliness that goes on there and at other sites. I have never played for real money, mostly just play money sites all over and the occassional game with the family so more likely than not, I am going to have to start at the bottom of the barrel.

So anyways, Greetings and if I have any trouble with hands, general strategy, or anything else poker related, you can be sure, I'll probably bring it to your attention

Thanks for the warm greetings all

Been playing freerolls while waiting for my bank account to clear Epassporte and just generally looking around to get the feel for FTP. Placed 6th in the last freeroll so was pretty happy with that considering the shootout that those things seem to be.

I've read most if not all of the posts in the Beginners Digest and will probably be reading them again as a refresher. Really interested in the tips on hand reading and interpreting betting patterns as these are probably the points where I need a lot of work.

I do not believe that these two questions on pre-flop play are addressed(Although I may very well be wrong) so I may as well ask so..

    1) What guidelines do most of you use when deciding how much to widen your calling range when faced with a raise and a caller, or more importantly, multiple callers ahead of you? Is there ever a point where your pot odds are so good that it is profitable to call with any two cards?

    2) How much does your reraising range shorten, if at all, with a raise and multiple callers in front of you?
