For me it's the reverse. I visit several tough home games (maybe stupid, but they're great games). Much tougher than Vegas. I grind online to pay for my live games.
I know of one like that. But I have to go there with a deep roll. There is a chance I could walk away -$1500, so right now I'm staying away from it. It seems, from what I see on here and observe of online games, the competition is much easier at the same stakes. With that said, I'm trying to find some games in the middle to really sharpen my skills, then sit down when I'm 100% sure I can beat the game. Walk out with +$3k in the pocket.
I'd have to say, every since I started this new career, my poker time and dedication has fallen off, skill wise.....the same. I'd like to get more table time in before I sit down with a good portion of my roll though. If anything, I feel like I'm playing better. Bigger salary + reliable career=me being able to play poker at a steady comfortable pace at this point.
