Default Ran a table of LAG's last night.

    Very simple.

    - Played strong starting hands.

    - Smooth called the nuts and bet them on the river.

    - Played more hands in position than OOP.

    - Controlled my tilt so there was basically none all night.

    - Was never aggressor unless i sat on a higher pair or better.

I don't know....I need some new damn games to go to that's for damn sure. I don't like to loose, but I cannot remember a night I haven't walked out of this game atleast $200 up. Good game for extra weekend cash, but horrible for getting better. I'm sitting here trying to think of what I did last night, as I do everytime there....That's it, that's all I had to do to beat the table.

Eiy yei yei....epassporte needs to hurry up and actiate my funds!

    Complaining? No.

I just get a little tired of same play. I have the game figured, and that I'm happy about, because like I said...extra weekend/bankroll cash. I like competition though. How can I implement different strategies and refine my game when the table is such? I get better by actually playing with better players.

Also, I'm not TAG. I change my play depending on the table.

    crack,

    your answer lies within............

use online games to "challenge yourself."
use the home game...TO PAY THE RENT.

if its one night a week, or every once in awhile, who cares about challenge?

bore yourself all the way to the bank. while you concentrate the rest of your times on tougher competition.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

Yeah I've played those second graders too. Man they do suck. I had to explain to them why 2 pairs beats a flush.

In ligher news, I played a $5000 headsup match versus Daniel Negreanu.

    Very simple.
    1) Only make +EV moves
    2) Avoid -EV moves
    3) Don't tilt
    4) Make sure he doesn't weltch

    ZOMG!!111 ship it.

Standard, but the three above should be done regardless of who's on your table.

Do you play weak starting hands OOP whilst on life tilt when you're at a table of TAGs?

I will play with a wider range when sitting at a predominantly TAG table. I will also be the agressor, wont float much, more bluffing, cbetting, RR more of the time. Build the pot, take it down after the TAG didn't hit.

For me it's the reverse. I visit several tough home games (maybe stupid, but they're great games). Much tougher than Vegas. I grind online to pay for my live games.

I know of one like that. But I have to go there with a deep roll. There is a chance I could walk away -$1500, so right now I'm staying away from it. It seems, from what I see on here and observe of online games, the competition is much easier at the same stakes. With that said, I'm trying to find some games in the middle to really sharpen my skills, then sit down when I'm 100% sure I can beat the game. Walk out with +$3k in the pocket.

I'd have to say, every since I started this new career, my poker time and dedication has fallen off, skill wise.....the same. I'd like to get more table time in before I sit down with a good portion of my roll though. If anything, I feel like I'm playing better. Bigger salary + reliable career=me being able to play poker at a steady comfortable pace at this point.
